Your 2-day gorilla trekking safari in Rwanda will allow you to observe gorillas and learn about Rwandan culture. It will also end with a visit to the Kigali Genocide Memorial Ground, where more than 25,000 victims of the genocide were given respectable burials.
Day 1: Transfer to Volcanoes National Park. Travel time + 2hours
You will be picked by your guide, from your hotel accommodation in Kigali or airport in case you arrive with morning flight and head for a city tour to visit the Kigali Genocide memorial ground where over 25000 bodies of victims of genocide were given a decent burial and later have lunch in a local restaurant before being transferred to Musanze – Volcanoes National Park where you will have dinner and overnight stay.
With 2 Day Gorilla Trekking in Rwanda, you will as well have a cultural experience to get a cultural insight of the Rwandan culture. Dinner and overnight at the Five Volcanoes Boutique Hotel (Luxury) or Le Bamboo Gorilla Lodge (Mid – range) or La Palme Hotel (Standard). Meal Plan: Lunch & Dinner
Day 2: Gorilla Trekking – Kigali. Travel time + 2hours
Today after your early morning breakfast, at 7.30 am, you will be transferred to the park’s headquarters with your packed lunch in Office of Tourism in Kinigi where you are briefed by the ranger about the rules and regulations governing Gorilla tracking before you head off to the jungle in search for these gentle giants. The gorilla trek can last from an hour to six hours depending on the gorilla’s movements, though the trek is strenuous but much rewarding at the end.
You will be given an hour with the gorilla to take as many pictures as possible of your choice and later return from your trek, head for lunch in one of the local restaurants, before hitting on the road to find our way back to Kigali and dropped at your hotel or at the Kigali airport to catch up with your evening flight.
