2 Days Trek to Diane Fossy grave is rewarding as you meet and see the grave of this wonderful woman, who has done a great job of conserving the gorillas. Day 1: Transfer to Musanze
You will be picked upon arrival at the airport or at the hotel in Kigali and transferred to Musanze by your driver guide, the drive can last for 2 to 3 hours. You will have a lot of stopover along the way as you travel. Morning flight is advised. Day 2: Hike to Diane Fossey Graveyard.
Today, you will be driven to the park headquarter at Kinigi at 7:00 am upon having your breakfast for briefing and you will later head off for hiking. The hike will typically take a full day from 3 hours depending on your hiking experience. You are reminded to wear hiking boots to overcome the muddy and slippery grounds especially in the rainy season. After the hike, you will head back for lunch before driving back to Kigali. If time permits, visit the Kigali genocide memorial ground.
